The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when souls are united, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 that hide, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
