Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
