Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
