Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
