Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
