Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
