Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, writers 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
