Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: Shattering (Al-Infitaar). Sent down in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
