Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
