Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
