Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 watching over you 11 They know all that you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
