Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
