The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] 2 When the earth is stretched out taut 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 And attentive to her Lord in fear! 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 He truly will receive an easy reckoning 8 And he shall return unto his people joyfully. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 Surely he was (erstwhile) joyful among his followers. 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 And by the moon when she is at the full, 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
