The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 hearing and obeying its Lord, as it must do; 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] 4 And obeys its Lord and it must. 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 and the night, and what it [step by step] unfolds, 17 And the moon when it grows full, 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 and [that,] when the Qur'an is read unto them, they do not fall down in prostration? ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
