The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
