The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
