The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
