The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
