The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they sat around it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
Almighty God's Truth.
