The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
