The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
