The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
