The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
