The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
