The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
God the Almighty always says the truth.
