Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
