The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
