The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
