The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
