The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 it is no merriment. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
