Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The piercing star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 it is not a jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
