Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
