The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
