The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
