Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the heaven and the night-comer 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17

True are the words of God the Almighty.
