The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
