The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
