Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
