Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
