The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
