The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
