The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
