The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
