The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
