The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
