The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
