Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
