The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
