Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 In a high Garden. 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 and raised couches, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
