The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 Verily, [O men,] you aim at most divergent ends! 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 And affirms goodness, 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
